"Hi would this unit be suitable for stapling non woven fabrics together at the overlaps? the overlap is 300 mm and the fabrics are about 1mm thick each. They are being laid onto compacted sand and then sprayed afterwards with a waterproofing product to seal them, so holes are not an issue. The work is on slopes up to 30 degrees and the rolls are large, 1000m x 6m so we cannot stitch them conventionally."
Salco: No, a top carton-sealing stapler is not suitable for that application. The correct tool would be a pneumatic plier stapler such as Bostitch P50, Salco P50 or JK20-777/779. However, a limiting factor could be the throat depth of the tool[s], which is a maximum of 6" [150mm]. "Hi I'm looking for a Upholstery stapler that is either air or electric that is adjustable for power and powerful enough to shoot through a motorcycle seat plastic seat pan. I need one that will shoot shorter staples that won't stick out too far. 1/4" long or less. It's not for a every day job...just for this project. Which gun do you suggest?? Warm Aloha Emery" The stapler that is commonly used for your application is our F1B 7-16 pneumatic gun tacker. It uses narrow-crown staples which are available in 3/16" and 1/4" leg lengths. For automotive/marine applications we strongly recommend the use of stainless steel staples for corrosion resistance. "I have a 1931 Model A Ford that I want to reupholster. The roof cross beams are new ash wood and my stapler is not strong enough to sink the staple. I guess I need somethink stronger. What do you recommend?
John P." Thank you for your enquiry. We recommend a pneumatic gun tacker for upholstery-to-wood applications. Manual and electric tackers do not have the power to drive the staples flush into the wood frame. As your application is automotive, we further recommend the use of stainless steel staples for corrosion resistance. A popular stapler and staple combination for this application is our F1B 50-16 using the ED508C SS staple. The staples are available in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" leg lengths. |
